Responsibilities:
Candidate would administer, organize, and conduct company training programs for clerical, supervisory, technical, and lower-level management personnel.
This position has limited decision-making since problems can generally be evaluated in terms of defined procedures or precedents.
Researches, plans, organizes and conducts training programs, seminars, and conferences for clerical, supervisory, technical, and lower-level management personnel.
Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs, and recommends appropriate changes.
Administers and evaluates training program qualification tests and determines eligibility of prospective attendees.
Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; sets up audiovisual equipment and makes presentations when necessary.
Contacts attendees and department representatives about training program.
Schedules the appropriate classroom and prepares the physical setup.
Ability to communicate with company employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence.
Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness.
Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts.
Design, plan, organize, and direct orientation and training for employees or customers of industrial or commercial establishment.
Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded, and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.
Schedule classes based on availability of classrooms, equipment, and instructors.
Role
Responsibilities:
Supervise instructors, evaluate instructor performance, and refer instructors to classes for skill development Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs, or to inform management of training program status.
Devise programs to develop executive potential among employees in lower-level positions.
Refer trainees to employer relations representatives, to locations offering job placement assistance, or to appropriate social services agencies if warranted.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree 3
years of related work experience or training Excellent communication skills via written and oral Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Learning Strategies--Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
